Kadim
"KADIM derives from an ancient root, KDM, common to several Semitic
languages. In the Hebrew Bible, “kadim“ signifies a warm desert wind
from the east. In modern Hebrew, “kedem“ suggests “days of old,”
while “kadima“ means “forward“ or “ahead.“ With its echoes of east
wind and past and future, KADIM suits us well. Our music is a
dialogue between an ancient eastern tradition and the immediate,
creative power of the present."
